Daytime
An opportunity to work directly from the model in one sustained post for the week. Formal aspects of colour, proportion, form and space will be covered with one-to-one tuition for each individual student.
Workshop 1 with Thomas Gosebruch: Sugar lift- imagine fresh brush and ink marks, painterly to calligraphic effects not commonly associated with etching. Over two days we will experiment with this exciting medium.
Workshop 2 with Lawrence Jenkins: Although etching is often considered a black & white medium, the use of two plates can open up very exciting possibilities for colour prints. This course is a practical course designed to give the artist the chance to create & print two plate prints. Many techniques to create the plates will be examined.
