| Suitable for: | Etching classes are unsuitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women or those sensitive to chemicals. All students will be asked to fill out a disclosure form on the first day of class. |
This course offers a ten week introduction for students of all levels, including beginners, to the methods and materials involved in the traditional techniques of etching. Hard and soft ground, dry point, aquatint, sugar lift, spit bite and chine collee on zinc and copper will be covered.
Students will be encouraged and guided individually with translating their ideas directy onto the plate.
