In 2001, the Postgraduate Programme was established as the core programme of the Prince’s Drawing School to address the gap in observational drawing instruction and to encourage a new generation of artists. The Postgraduate Programme is a one or two year course of intensive drawing tuition for 30 students, upon completion of which a diploma is awarded. Every year both the quality of students and competition of places increases.
The Postgraduate Programme is the only course of its kind in the world. You can play a vital role by becoming a Named Scholarship Sponsor for £10,000 per student per academic year.
Each sponsor is allocated a student who has their fees paid for all courses and tutors, receives free studio space as well as events, exhibitions and drawing field trips in the UK and internationally. Every student’s course fees are fully subsidised and ten further maintenance bursaries of £3,000 are allocated to ensure that the best candidates are able to attend irrespective of their financial circumstances.
