Underlying the Postgraduate Programme and Drawing Clubs is the Public Programme, which is open to all, regardless of ability. Every term six hundred students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities attend the School. Thirty courses are held each term including daytime, evening and holiday courses for artists and the general public. Classes are held in the Shoreditch studio, galleries, museums, streets and parks. The School has its own printing studio with etching facilities. The instructors are of the highest quality and are practicing artists.
We provide a low fee structure for the general public and subsidies to full-time registered BA fine art students, residents of Hackney or Tower Hamlets boroughs, and to full-time practising artists age 40 and under in need of financial help (subject to inspection of portfolios).
The Public Programme costs £319,000 per annum for tutors, models, materials, Shoreditch studio space, facilities improvement, concessionary schemes and other core costs. We are grateful for any level of donation. Your support could be instrumental in many ways including:
